back from vacay!

We drove into our driveway at about 9:30PM Sunday night. It was a looooong trip from the part of Ohio we were in! Levi's brother Brandon got married and we also went to MI for a few days to stay with Levi's mom and family. It was a great trip and I also got my hands on some new photos to scrap :)

As usual, school has been keeping me pretty busy. I'm caught up now from the week I missed while on vacation, so it should be a bit better for a while. Ugh, I do have a big paper to do this weekend though, so not a lot of scrapping.

Here is a card that I made with one of the new release Spellbinders dies. It's the poinsettia frame, the outside part. The image is from an Orthodox angel stamp I purchased from an online Orthodox Christian website. It's really a gorgeous stamp! I used Copics and Copic Spica pens to color it in, so it's pretty glittery.
I'm trying to get some Halloween cards finished to take to the store. Hopefully they will sell pretty well! I got a couple of $1 stamp sets from the target dollar spot the other day and have used those on them. The $1 stamps are really poor quality, but if you are careful, they actually turn out ok...for $1. ☺

Some more Christmas

Here's a card I made sometime this week with my new Spellbinders Nested Poinsettia dies. I used The Paper Studio glitter paper and added a couple yellow Stickles accents to the middle. Pretty darn easy!
The embossed background is Cuttlebug's Swirls and Birds and the flourish on the bottom is one of the new edge embossers from Cuttlebug.
This is going to be another busy couple of weeks. We're going to be gone for a week to go to MI and to a wedding! Levi's brother is getting married. So that means I have to miss a week of classes and make up a bunch of papers and stuff before I go THIS week. booooo...
In other news our computer monitor is going bad. It keeps switching to a horrible green/yellow tint that makes it really hard to see. Seeing as how we got this computer in 2002, I guess I can't complain too much.
Well, I have class in a bit, thanks for taking a peek!

where have I been?

I don't know, but where ever I was, I was busy! The last couple of weeks have just been a blur it seems, everything is coming at once. Between college, the kids' activities, our awesome friends Ryan, Lauren and Lexie coming for Labor Day weekend, my birthday and Alexis' birthday, we've been running like crazy. Oh, and I've also been creating for SNA, deadline is approaching!

Because I was such a bad blogger (noticed 2 people even stopped following me, LOL!) I will post a couple different cards. I picked up a rooster stamp at HL when wooden stamps were half off and just had to do a couple of country fresh cards. My mom is really into chickens, so these will be part of a set that I'm making for her.

I colored in the images with Copics and went over the roosters with Copic Spica glitter pens. Those babies are amazing! You can see the glitter more in this close-up. Click on the image for an even closer look, it's really glittery!

I loved the country feel of this Cosmo Cricket "Enchanted" paper, so I colored the roosters to compliment it.
I also used some of my brand new Spellbinders Nestabilities. Love the new Labels!

Well thanks for taking a peek, and I promise I will try harder to be a good blogger :)
