Last of the Dandelions

Here are the last 2 cards in the set I made. Both of these were made with the Scrap Within Reach paper and I used my new border punches I got in Wichita on our trip. I used the Martha Stewart lattice and EK Success slim large scallop punch. The stamps are from Verve.

Dandelions part 2

Here are 2 more cards in the dandelion set I made. The paper is by Scrap Within Reach, and it was so easy to let the paper do most of the talking in these cards.

Dandelion Sunshine!

I had an order from a good friend of mine for 6 cards that featured dandelions. Here are 2 of the 6 cards I made yesterday. I decided I don't have nearly enough yellow items, doing these two cards made me want more!

I used paper from the Cosmo Cricket "Sunshine" 8x8 pack, I just adore those papers. The scalloped edges are so fun for cards. On the top card, I used a Technique Tuesday scalloped tile and stamped the dandelion and sentiment over the top using Luxe (flower) and Verve (words) stamps and Momento ink. I colored the flower in using watercolor pencils and topped it off with yellow Stickles.

On the card below, I used my Silhouette to cut the curved frames from yellow and white paper. I used a smaller cut out to trace the brown border after I stamped the flower and sentiment images.

Hope these cards bring some sunshine to your day! TFL!

Snickerdoodles

When I'm not papercrafting, being a mom, or shopping for groceries, I can often be found at Snickerdoodles in the Kearney Mall. That is where I work part time and make delicious yummies. :) Here are a few photos I took this week. Granted the lighting is bad in there- fluorescent lights, shadows, etc., but you can get the general feel of the place. We make (from scratch) a bazillion kinds of cookies, dessert bars/brownies, truffles, and also have coffees, smoothies, and chai teas.

Today was my last day of work this week though, so now I'm free!!!

I'm back again

We had a great trip to Western NE and then to Wichita, KS this past week! We got to hang out with my bestest friend, Dayna and her hubby Troy, and we got to see all sorts of people at the BBQ at my parents' house. After we were there for a few days, Levi and I left the kids with grandma and papa and went to Wichita, KS for our church's Parish Life Conference. It was a great time, and we even got to see Levi's dad and step mom and Ben and Jessie towards the end of our trip.

Now I'm back to the grindstone and have a LOT of scrapping and card making to do. LOTS! :) We've got a super fun eZine coming out soon (July) as well! I need to get some pictures printed badly...hopefully I will get them done this week.
In the meantime, all I can do is make cards, oh darn ;) Here is a Father's Day card I made last week that I'd like to share. I drew and cut out the boots from brown cardstock and inked around the edges a bit. I'm not very good about thinking to do manly cards, so Father's Day cards are always a stretch it seems.

Hope you're all having a wonderful week!

Father's Day

Here's a very quick and easy Father's Day card I made up. All the paper is from the Penny Lane line from MME. The "dad" and the stars are American Crafts rub on alphas and the sentiment is a rub on from Melissa Frances.

On the inside, I used a corner shaper from MultiCraft to create the white paper shape.
